Positive Futures ... a group of people who have been subject to punishment.  The main aim of the organisation is to highlight and support the various ways in which people within the criminal justice system in Scotland can realise they can make positive decisions for themselves to move away from offending on their return to their families and communities.

In the Chair:    John Cuddihy, Ex-Detective Chief Superintendent & former Head of Organised Crime and Counter Terrorism, Police Scotlan

Guest Presenter:  Dr Nasar Meer, Reader in Comparative Social Policy, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow

Format:  Following the Chair's opening remarks, guest presenter Dr Nasar Meer will speak on issues including the relationship between "radicalisation", extremism and terrorism; new legislatin in the area (eg Counter-Terrorism and Extremism Act 2015); and the Scottish Government's Prevent strategy as a case study.  This will be followed by open discussion with the audience, led by John Cuddihy.
