Chairing this year's SASO Glasgow Branch Conference is The Rt Hon the Lord Hope of Craighead, KT. The event will take place at the Assembly Hall, Police Scotland, 173 Pitt Street Glasgow, on Thursday 8 May from 1.00 pm through to 7.00 pm with a credible line-up of guest presenters including Sir Harry Burns, Sue Berelowitz (Deputy Children's Commissioner for England); Malcolm Shaffer, Scottish Childrens Reporter Administration, Lars Wallinder, Ministry of Justice, Sweden; Professor Lesley McAra, University of Edinburgh.
The conference is open to SASO members and non-members. Places are limited. Early registration advisable.

SASO Aberdeen Branch Seminar - 3 April 2014
SASO Aberdeen Branch will host it's next seminar on Thursday 3 April 2014 with guest speaker Lesley Simpson, Service Manager, Aberdeen City Criminal Justice Social Work. Lesley's presentation will cover the work under taken with women on the Connections Programme which has been running in Aberdeen for around 20 years and offers an opportunity for women to make positive connections with themselves; with others and with the community and become more positive contributors to the community in which they live. Lesley will also reveal plans for the new Woman's Centre for which funding has recently been secured by Aberdeen City Criminal Justice Social Work.
Members and non-members are welcome. Refreshments available. CPD time may be claimed for attendance.
